Jason Clark / CISO Emerson

Jason Clark was hired as the Chief Information Security Officer for Emerson in Q2 2007. At Emerson, Jason built a global Information Security Department from the ground up. This department encompasses all aspects of Information Security; governance, risk, and compliance; 24/7 security operations; security risk, design, and management; incident response; and forensics for a company with 140,000 employees.

Prior to working for Emerson, Jason was the director of Information Security for the New York Times. During his tenure with the New York Times, Jason was instrumental in selling the importance of Information Security, and securing the newspaper’s PCI Compliance for online transactions. Jason also helped build a strong foundation for the Times’ Internet presence, now listed by Neilson Net Ratings as the 7th most trafficked website in the US.

Before he joined the New York Times, Jason started the first Information Security departments within multiple banks. He worked for Everbank for four years as an Information Security Manager and an Architecture Manager. Jason also worked with BB&T for four years as a Senior Network and Security Engineer. Additionally, Jason served in the US Army as a Security Systems Engineer for two years.
